PIKE FISHING
Once again the Pike fishing has been on top form with plenty of sport reported from both boat and bank. First up is Big S club member John Ashurst from Wigan who landed 5 Pike last weekend, all falling to static deadbait and the haul from the boats included 2 x 17 pounders! Also day ticket angler Mark Willan from Keswick fished a morning session from the boats and landed a brace of Pike up to mid doubles, one on a lure and one on a trolled deadbait set up. Also fishing from the boats John Platt from Co Durham landed a brace of twenties, weighing in at 20lb 6oz and 21lb respectively. Both fish fell to static deads’.
The bank fishing for Pike has been good, in fact the car park swim has been on fire! Big S club member Joe O’Rouke from Liverpool has taken fish of 18lb, 19lb 8oz and a cracker at 20lb 2oz (see attached photo ). Again deadbaits did the trick! Big S club member Darren Lord got in on the action from the same swim with a 16 pounder. Stuart Seed from Preston landed a 17lb 8oz fish. Chris Carney from Carlisle managed a 19 pounder and Kevin O’Rouke landed a cracking brace at 15lb 4oz and 19lb 7oz.
